The “10 commandments” of Medical regulation
- Listen and hear the complaint
- Consider any call as serious, including from a child
- Pay attention to the environment (including sound)
- Beware of “preconceived ideas” (regulation assistants and oneself)
- Remain emphatic and respectful
- Think first of the most serious (“rule out”)
- Doubt must benefit to the patient (self-evaluation)
- Conclude with a contract with the caller
- Be alarmed by the recurrence of a call
- Give the right and not the right care
