Emergency Medical Service and Medical Regulation

The “10 commandments” of Medical regulation

  1. Listen and hear the complaint
  2. Consider any call as serious, including from a child
  3. Pay attention to the environment (including sound)
  4. Beware of “preconceived ideas” (regulation assistants and oneself)
  5. Remain emphatic and respectful
  6. Think first of the most serious (“rule out”)
  7. Doubt must benefit to the patient (self-evaluation)
  8. Conclude with a contract with the caller
  9. Be alarmed by the recurrence of a call
  10. Give the right and not the right care
